Somebody's in the bad books! Well, he's not really cos it wasn't his fault. :'(
Barry and I noticed over a year ago that Skye does NOT like the regular peeping sound that a) the smoke alarm makes when the battery needs replaced and b) Barry's phone makes when the charge is low to alert him to charge the phone and he becomes highly anxious whenever he hears it. Even when he's upstairs in the bedroom with us at night, if Barry's phone starts peeping in the living room (with the door shut), Skye gets frantic and ends up jumping on my head in bed.
Today we went out to pick up something local, leaving Skye at home, which he was delighted about because when he's left he gets a pigs ear and he LOVES pigs ears. Anyway while out we decided to have a coffee and then came home. As we pulled on the drive I noticed one of the bedroom curtains wasn't tied back as it had been in the morning - odd I thought!! When I opened the front door Skye walked along the hall from the kitchen as normal, although he had a cobweb on the top of his head and we actually joked about where he'd been to get it. low back wedding dresses
Then I went upstairs to change into more casual clothes and discovered total mayhem in the bedroom - I thought we'd been burgled! :o Everything on the dressing table was on the floor, as was everything on my bedside table. There were scratch marks on the table and the window sill (which explained the curtain) and the window was covered in slobber marks right near the top and running down the window with drool on the window sill. I honestly think he was trying to escape out of the window :o Further investigation revealed a tile scratched off the wall by the back door in the utility room. All because Barry's phone battery was low and he'd forgotten to take it with him.
Poor Skye couldn't stop panting for over an hour after we got back. :( We'll have had him for 9 years this October and he's never damaged a thing in all that time. He must have been frantic. :'(
