So I am stuck in a rut. Our con is having a masquerade ball on Halloween and it is mandatory formal dress. I don't know if I should cosplay or just go in something elegant. masquerade cosplay ball outfits outfits

What are some characters who have formal outfits? I am trying to avoid Sailor Moon, and MLP because I am sure there will be more than plenty dressed in those fandoms.

I have seen some normal dresses/gowns I like on Amazon. But nothing that has made me go, "OMG. OMG. BUY. BUY. BUY."

I am not willing to spend more than $30-50 for a cosplay. And I am not willing to pay more than $30 for regular dress.

Any ideas on chars or normal formal/elegant dress?
