We believe that children are not simply small adults; and recognize their unique needs and requirements during a hospitalization. In an effort to more efficiently meet those needs, we made vast renovations to our Pediatric Unit in 2007.

Through the generosity of friends and neighbors in the community, we are able to provide a new look for our unit that includes kid-friendly patient rooms and hallways.

In addition, the generous employees of Satilla Health Services (through contributions to their BEACON Fund) have furnished and equipped a “Family Room” where parents of sick children can find a little respite, but be in close proximity to their child. The room is comfortably furnished and includes kitchen and bath facilities.

Our commitment to improving the environment of our pediatric unit is complimented by the commitment of our dedicated pediatric staff and physicians. Our Pediatric Unit includes a state of the art nursing station that supports them in their mission of delivering the finest pediatric healthcare for the finest kids anywhere.
